Two girls enjoy the lake in Keuruu, Finland.
Keuruu, located in central Finland, was a rural municipality characterized by traditional agrarian life in the late 1800s. At that time, Finland was part of the Russian Empire until gaining independence in 1917. Keuruu, like many other areas in Finland, was predominantly agrarian, with farming and forestry being the primary occupations.
