Kyröskoski Paper Mill

Kyröskoski Paper Mill

Kyröskoski rapids have played an important role in Finland’s industrial history, starting as a flour mill in the 17th century, converting to a cotton factory in 1860 and finally opening as a paper mill in 1878 with the introduction of a paper machine.

The wooden buildings of the paper mill burned in 1880 and then again in 1889.
