Steamship Harbour in Turku

Steamship Harbour in Turku

Grand steamships and sailboats moored along the Aurajoki (Aura River) in Turku, Finland in the 1890s. What a sight to see!

The large Neo-Renaissance building across the river was originally designed by Charles Bassi in 1810-1811 as a restaurant. Currently, it is the official governing centre of the city - Turku City Hall.
