Russian Military Hospital in Helsinki
The old Russian military hospital was located on Helsinki's Unioninkatu (Union Street), across from Helsinki Cathedral. Designed by Carl Ludwig Engel and completed in 1823, it started as a military boarding school before being turned into a hospital in 1832.
The building is currently part of the Topelia Quarter (after Zachris Topelius) of Helsinki University and houses various departments and institutes within the Faculty of Humanities.
