People Gathered in Jurmo

People Gathered in Jurmo

Jurmo is a small island, approximately 5km long and 1km wide, at the outer reaches of the Turku archipelago. There are four old farms on Jurmo: Bengtfolk's, Lassfolk's, Bonda's and Norrgranna's. The photograph depicts the residents of the four farms on the island gathered together around the turn of the century.

Currently, the island’s land area is divided between the four farms and a national park.
