Häme Castle

Häme Castle (Hämeen linna) is a medieval castle located in Hämeenlinna, Finland. The castle is believed to have been constructed in the 13th century following Birger Jarl’s Second Swedish Crusade, which established Swedish rule in Finland.

Over the years the castle has been used as a military fortress, home for Swedish nobility, a prison and currently houses a museum.
