Viipuri Castle
Nestled on an island amidst the cityscape of Viipuri in the late 1800s, the castle stood as a formidable symbol of power and history. Built during the Middle Ages and expanded over the centuries, it served initially as a military stronghold, protecting the city against potential invaders.
As times changed, so did the castle's role, evolving into a governmental and administrative center. Through the ebbs and flows of conflicts and alliances, the castle remained a steadfast witness to Viipuri's storied past, embodying the resilience and endurance of the city and its people.
